UX Fail: Testudo
This project will introduce a new UI for the Testudo scheduling and drop/add system, with the goal of improving undergraduate students’ experience when registering for classes. This new UI will improve the current system’s user experience by combining the drop/add page and the schedule page into one singular interface and include new functionality such as notifying users of unfulfilled prerequisites when signing up for new classes. We will approach this problem by implementing a user-centered design, and actively getting feedback from undergraduate students.

Our Problem Statement
Testudo’s scheduling page makes it difficult for UMD students to schedule their classes because its current format is cluttered and does not notify the students when the prerequisites of the courses are not met. Our goal is to combine different registration tools to make it easier to understand and notify students when they don’t meet the prerequisites. Some aspects of the registration features we want to improve and combine are the walk times between classes, waitlist, and drop/add sections.
